Mr. Cote's ("Co-tee") practice focuses on representing general contractors and
sub-contractors in construction defect and accident litigation throughout Northern
California, including counties located in the Bay Area. He has considerable
experience representing contractors in Construction Defect (CD) cases with
significant SIR's as well as those who are fully insured.
He has also handled numerous personal injury cases arising from
automobile/trucking accidents, premises liability, toxic tort and medical malpractice
(elder abuse).
Mr. Cote has successfully represented sub-contractors and motor carriers in both
bench and jury trials.
Mr. Cote was born and raised in the Bay Area. He graduated from the University
of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1998. He received has Bachelor's
degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 1992. Mr. Cote was a
partner at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith before co-founding Seley & Cote, LLP.
